We are proud to have a staff of dedicated people committed to our mission of making and maturing disciples for Christ.

Our staff is led by our team of three Pastors.

Pastor/Head of Staff: Dr. Mike Loudon
Mike is a graduate of New Castle Senior High School, and Westminster College (New Wilmington, PA). He earned his Master of Divinity degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts in 1973, and his Doctor of Ministry degree from McCormick Theological Seminary of Chicago in 1990. Mike worked at the local rescue mission and as youth director at his home church during college. During his seminary years he was pastor of the Congregational Church of West Newbury, Massachusetts. He was ordained to the ministry on July 8, 1973, by Shenango Presbytery (UPCUSA).

He has served as pastor of Presbyterian congregations in Ellwood City, PA (Wurtemburg and Ellport Churches); New Castle, PA (Highland Church); and Lincoln, Nebraska (Eastridge Church). Since April of 1999 he has been the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Lakeland, Florida. Mike has been married to Joyce for over 30 years. Together they have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

Associate Pastor of Congregational Care: Dr. David Drain
Dr. Drain is a native of Philadelphia, and a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania-Wharton Business School, Princeton Theological Seminary, and Vanderbilt Divinity School. He also spent two years at St. Andrew’s University in Scotland in New Testament research. David served as an officer in the United States Army in Korea and at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, PA. He was the pastor of the Bristol, PA. Presbyterian Church from 1972-1980, and then served as Senior Pastor of the 700 member Wallingford Presbyterian Church of suburban Philadelphia for 20 years.

He joined our church in May of 2000 and oversees the congregational care of our membership. David does pastoral care, including hospital and general visitation. He co-officiates, with Pastor Mike, for most of our funerals. He is available for pastoral counseling. He works with the Congregational Care Council, our Stephen Ministry program, and, of course, he assists in leading worship and in many other areas of ministry. David is married to Marion. Together they have 2 children.

Associate Pastor of Congregational Development: Rev. Craig Sumey
He is a graduate of Baker College (Kansas), and Princeton Theological Seminary. He served as the associate pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Atchison, Kansas, and as Interim Associate Minister of Evangelism of the large Prairie Village Church, and for four years as the Pastor of the 250 member Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church of Lincoln, Nebraska where he guided that new congregation in building their first building.

He works with our evangelism program, new member assimilation program, small group development ministry, and the outreach and mission ministry of the church. Therefore, he wears a number of different hats. He works with both the Evangelism Committee and the Outreach Committee. He founded our FaithBuilders Sunday School Class. He also oversees the ministry of our new “Vine” emerging worship community.
Craig is married to Lynn who is a preschool teacher. They have two children.
