Arts & Crafts
FPC has the perfect place to sew, knit, paint, draw, and simply create. Our craft room is the meeting place of artists and crafters taking classes, working in groups, or just working independently. Check the calendar for classes and events in the craft room. Donate your extra arts & craft supplies by dropping them off at the front office. If you would like to reserve the craft room for your next project please contact Jackie Hansen, or call 686-7187 ext 224.
Book Club
The FPC Book Club meets on the third Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. in the parlor to discuss the latest book on their reading list. New members are always welcome. Contact for more information.
Sweetheart Banquet
The Sweetheart Banquet is a special celebration held each year in February for couples who have celebrated (or will celebrate in the current year) 50 years or more of marriage. The younger adults of the church take delight in serving the couples. Complimentary pictures are given to each couple and there is always delightful entertainment.
Daddy/Daughter Dance
An annual tradition sponsored by Little Shepherds' Preschool at FPC is the Daddy/Daughter Dance which also includes granddads, uncles, granddaughters and nieces of all ages. Refreshments are served and each little girl receives a coursage.
Mother/Daughter Luncheon
The Presbyterian Women sponsor a luncheon each April for mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, daughters, granddaughters and nieces of all ages. It is a grand time of delicious food, entertainment and fellowship.
Valentine Dinner Dance
The Agape Class invites members and friends to their annual dinner dance held at the Lakeland Yacht and Country Club in February. Childcare and a kid's dinner is provided by FPC nursery staff at the club.
Golf Tournament
The annual FPC Snow Golf Tournament is held in May and with mulligans, a shotgun start and lots of fun. Get your foursomes ready for the next tournament.
First Family Night Dinners
On Wednesday nights from fall through spring, family dinner is served at 5:15 p.m. with a varied menu including special diet dishes and children's menus. It is a great time to relax, enjoy good food and fellowship. Following dinner, the youth meet, the choirs rehearse, and other adults can attend a variety of classes or programs. Cookies and coffee are served in the Welcome Center following the classes.
Interested in Bluegrass music?
The FPC Bluegrass Ensemble meets on Thursday evenings at 7:00 and always welcome anyone who wants to play bluegrass/folk music. Skill level doesn't matter!
