FESTIVAL SINGERS OF FLORIDA TO PERFORM, OCT. 10

First Presbyterian Church, Lakeland hosts The Festival Singers of  Florida on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, in the sanctuary, at 3:00 p.m.The Festival Singers of Florida, under the direction Kevin Fenton, professor of music at Florida State University, will present a concert on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, 175 Lake Hollingsworth Drive, Lakeland, at 3:00 p.m.

The concert, "A Cathedral of Sound," celebrates choral music of the church.  The Festival Singers will perform "Dorchester Canticles" by Tarik O'Regan with organ, harp and percussion, and Mack Wilberg's "My Shepherd Will Supply My Need."  Leo Nestor's arrangements of "How Firm a Foundation," "How Can I Keep from Singing," and "Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing" will complete this inspirational concert that will appeal to young and old alike.
