Mission Possible is the theme for the Stewardship Campaign for the 2008 Budget.

The church has always been in the business of challenging society with the goods news of Jesus Christ. We at First Presbyterian are creating new avenues of ministry. Our service to reach young people and post modern adults, VINE, is up and running. Our Wednesday Institute offers a new and vital look to Wednesday evening. The Student Life Ministry and our Fine Arts programs are making significant changes. The Little Shepherds pre-school continues to grow. Our Mission Outreach to Lakeland and the world community is active and effective.

These varied ministries would be impossible were it not for your generous support. Your pledge to FPC works with God’s grace to fulfill our mission.

In a time when things are never secure, our faith in Christ prompts us to accept the challenge of ministry in a new, exciting, and fulfilling way. Please pray and act that our church will in faith achieve for 2008 a “MISSION POSSIBLE.”

Our congregation is seeking to become more missional. A missional church is one that is outwardly focused not simply inwardly focused. A missional congregation seeks to prepare believers to live out their faith in the world and share the good news of Christ with colleagues, friends, family members, and neighbors. Missional people don’t just sign a check, they lend a hand as well. Our mission as a congregation is to “make and mature disciples for Jesus Christ.” We believe we are carrying out this great commission of Christ, but it takes the support of all our members in order to move Christ’s mission forward.

Each year we conduct a financial stewardship campaign and gather pledges to support the mission and ministry of the church during the next year. Pledge cards were sent to each member over two weeks ago, and for the past two Sunday’s we have been receiving those pledges during the Sunday services.
Our hope is that every member and every family in the congregation participates in this year’s campaign.

For your convenience, you may make your confidential pledge online. Click on the gift card link on the right and enter your information. All gift cards are sent directly to Hunt Berryman, Director of Finance.
