Why give money to the Church?
Congregational Letter
A recent revision to our Presbyterian Book of Order signals what many believe is a change in our covenantal life and a parting from beliefs and practices of the historic and global church. What does this mean for the First Presbyterian Church of Lakeland? That’s a good question, since we are primarily a conservative and evangelical congregation which has consistently supported upholding the Authority of Scripture, and Definitive Guidance and Fidelity and Chastity as ordination standards. The Session and pastoral staff of our church will uphold the previous standard. It is important to understand that just because a General Assembly approves a particular action does not mean that congregations must agree with it or implement it.

Why Easter Is So Important
Easter is the day for us to praise God for what He has done for us in Jesus Christ, and for His great and mighty power. It is a day for worship and praise.
Do You Get Discouraged?
“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
