Little Shepherds FAQs


1. Do I have to be a member of First Presbyterian Church to send my child to Little Shepherds?
No, however church members are given priority.
2. Do I have to pay any money up front to be placed on the waiting list?
No, you do not pay any fees until your child is enrolled.
3. Does your school calendar follow the public school calendar?
We observe the same start date and holidays as the public schools.
4. How is it determined which age group my child is placed?
Children are placed in a classroom according to their age as of Sept. 1st of that school year.
5. Do children move classrooms after their birthday?
No, children stay in the same classroom for the entire school year.
6. Does my child have to be potty trained?
Children must be potty trained upon entering the three-year-old class.
7. Does Little Shepherds use a curriculum?
Yes, Little Shepherds uses “wee Learn” curriculum in all of the classrooms. The four year olds also use “Ready Readers” to support Kindergarten Readiness.
8. Is lunch provided for my child?
No, you must pack a healthy nutritional lunch for your child. A mid-morning snack and juice are provided by the school.
